Former Vernon Town Official Dies -- Courant.com: "VERNON - Morgan Campbell, a Republican who served on several boards and commissions, including the town council in the 1960s, died last week, the Journal Inquirer reported. He was 96.

Campbell also served on the Northeast School Building Committee, board of education and the board of representatives before Rockville and Vernon were consolidated in the mid-1960s, the Journal Inquirer reported."
Morgan Campbell as served as the Deputy Mayor with former Mayor of Vernon Frank McCoy, the present Mayor Jason McCoy's grandfather.
